Who’s in your HR Tribe?
 
We often have go to people in our personal lives (the electrician, plumber, and auto mechanic come to mind).  How robust is your list of go to people for HR?  Is it a big list or small list? Does it need to be limited?  Of course not.
 
Just as our circle of friends is robust and diverse – meaning we share different things with different friends all the time.  Your HR Tribe can be much the same for you. As much as we love HR, there are many facets HR practitioners don’t get to share, in part because we typically live in an HR Realm of one or two per organization.  That’s where the Saratoga Chamber HR Council comes into play.  We have a long list of over 70 professionals on our list you can come get to know.
 
While we all can use list of people for vendor purposes (payroll, benefits, legal, etc), we could all benefit from meeting, and getting to know others who also operate in a little bit of the vacuum that is Human Resources.
 
Come meet some new, and reacquaint yourselves with some familiar faces in our next HR Council meeting.  We’ll make it a point to have a set agenda to do some more formalized networking for you to connect with and get to know a few more HR professionals in our region. We’ll also collect some additional ideas for future conversations and continue to leverage this great group.
