Women Leaders in Real Estate Virtual Forum

The insightful and inspirational Women in Leadership Virtual Forums continue on September 14.

Like many other industries, real estate has been on a wild ride since the start of Covid. Learn from this gathering of Capital Region women leaders in real estate their views on the current state of the industry as well as emerging trends they are identifying. Our panelists will share their career paths, valuable lessons they have learned and why they have a passion for their business.

The Panelists:

Laura Burns- CEO Greater Capital Association of REALTORS®
Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Capital Association of REALTORS® and its subsidiary Multiple Listing Service since 2014, Laura Burns has a passion for real estate and says she’s privileged to be able to work at it every day with thousands of professionals in the industry locally and throughout the state and country. To do it she brings to the table more than twenty years of experience in diverse managerial and instructional positions in business, management analysis, and association management with the Department of Defense, law, higher education and association management at the national, state and local levels.
Burns holds a Magna Cum Laude BS degree in Business Management and a Master of Arts with high honors in Public Policy from the State University of New York. Burns has participated extensively on New York State Association of REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® advisory groups, review boards and committees and holds the REALTOR® Certified Executive designation. In 1992, Burns was a recipient of the Navy Unit Commendation medal (Civilian) for meritorious service during Operations Desert Shield, Storm and Sortie.

Ann MacAffer- Associate Real Estate Broker, CBRE Albany
Ann has an extensive background in commercial real estate since 1982. She has wide ranging experience in the commercial field including office, industrial, retail, site location and investment real estate. Ann served as the Commercial Sales Office Manager for Realty USA during 1987-1989. Ann has a professional designation, CCIM - Certified Commercial Investment Member. She is the 1998 past president of CIREB (Commercial & Industrial Real Estate Brokers) the leading commercial real estate organization in the Capital District, and the CIREB Member of the Year in 1995.

Anne O’Toole- Real Estate Salesperson, Roohan Realty
Anne has expertise in commercial real estate, focusing on office and retail space, investment properties and vacant land, with an emphasis on Saratoga and surrounding areas. She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS. She has a BA from Northeastern University.

Cindy Quade- Broker/Owner Signature ONE Realty Group
Cindy brings over 35 years of experience to the Real Estate profession. Serving homeowners throughout the Capital Region, she also represents the areas leading new home builders. Having trained with several renowned national new home sales trainers she is one of the first Realtors in this area to specialize in new home sales and has sold over $800 million in real estate. Cindy serves as Director of the New York State Association of Realtors, Past Director and Officer, Greater Capital Association of Realtors and serves on the Committee for Professional Standards with the Greater Capital Association of Realtors. She is also Past President of The Women's Council of Realtors and was awarded Realtor of the Year by her peers in 2009. Cindy is the Broker/Owner of Signature ONE Realty Group, a leading Boutique style independent brokerage that focuses on providing customers with the utmost in service and reliability.
